Hi I'm Nancy Hunsaker

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and I wear many other hats. I am a Mormon, and I have served several missions.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I enjoy reading and gardening and music. I play the piano and the organ and do enjoy being outside. My husband and I enjoy playing pickleball and we have found another couple in our area that enjoys playing so we play in the summer months and a little during the winter since our community has a place where we can play. I have many good friends and neighbors and enjoy being with them and with family members. My husband and I have served several missions for our church and have enjoyed that experience. We find great satisfaction in helping others with family history work.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been active in the church my entire life. It is a way of life for me. Since I was in my teens, I have had a calling (position of service) in the church. I have been able to use my talent in music (playing the piano and organ) a great deal. The Church has very strong moral values and family values and we have raised our children following the values set out by the Church. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and cares about me. I know that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and taught principles that will help us return to His presence if we live them. He suffered for our sins and was resurrected and because of this we will all be resurrected. I feel great satisfaction in serving in the Church and from helping others. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am active in my lds ward and stake. I am currently a visiting teacher which means I go with a companion and visit several women in our ward and give them a message and see if there is anything they need help with or if they have concerns. My husband and I have completed serving four missions together for our church and we are currently serving number five. We worked in the temple for two years following our last mission and enjoyed that experience very much. I try to be an example of good and look for opportunities to serve others. Serving others brings a great deal of satisfaction to me and I know I receive more joy from helping others than I could by doing other activities. I have taken several classes to learn how to do genealogy work. My husband and I enjoy helping others learn how to do genealogy work and also family history work.
