Hi I'm Michael

Born in Michigan. Have a passion for computers and basketball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a 17 year old boy, and enjoy running throughout the year. I am used to being in a small city with lots of farmers and think of myself as more of a city person. I love to go to places like Chicago to visit family, and play with younger relatives. I definitely enjoy music as well. I was introduced to percussion and have loved it ever since 6th grade. I also come from a long family line of basketball players, and enjoy playing and competing against others. I come from a competitive nature due to all of my siblings younger and older and all of the sports they are in. Lastly, I enjoy working with computers I am in BPA or Business Professionals of America and compete in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting and Computer Security. With this I will hope to advance in either an IT career field or start on a track after my mission to become a PA.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but as I progressed through the primary program and learned for myself that this is the true church and the restored gospel on earth, I have been able to keep advancing and learning new things. I continue to come to church, to learn to control my thoughts, partake of the sacrament, and learn from the lessons that were prepared for me in advanced. Without the church I would have no spiritual progression and have become of the world, instead of only living in the world. I would like to bare my testimony of the power of the Holy Ghost and the things that he can manifest to you and others that have happened, are happening, and will happen. He is the greatest teacher. I also, would like to tell you that the Power of the Priesthood is the true power of god ordained to worthy people on earth and I've witnessed the power and effect it has on those who have faith. I also know that when the boy Joseph Smith was 14 years he did begin a great journey to bring past the restoration of the true church. I know that our father in heaven does bless us greatly and knows us as separate and individual children of his. I also sustain the prophet other general authorities of the church. I know these things to be true, and I say them in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my branch I am an active home teach and enjoy seeing the elderly people and hearing the stories they have to tell and have experienced. I feel the spirit unravel as I go out with my companion to see the other members and help assess their needs. I called as branch presidents first assistant and to help aid him and start opening exercises in Priesthood. Throughout the school week I attend early morning seminary which is one of my biggest blessings to start my day of learning about the past prophets and lessons they have for me in the morning. I am able to share my religion to those at my high school being 1 of the only 2 members in the high school, and being able to lead by example and actions. Monthly, I participate in Youth committee and planning dances and other stake activities. This is how I live my faith.
