Hi I'm Sadie

I'm a BYU Cougar, I'm a Missionary, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a student at BYU and I love having fun with my roommates. We love to order pizza, go bowling, go sledding, and watch movies together. I am also an older sister and I have four younger brothers. We love to play sports, especially basketball and football. We also like to play board games together. I enjoy reading classic novels with my mom, and playing tennis with my dad. One of my favorite vacation spots is Disney World. I also enjoy baking cookies, playing the piano, and being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the message of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It teaches me that if I will live righteously and follow the example of my Savior I can be with my family forever. It gives me so much hope to know that I can be with my friends and family even after death. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me purpose and direction in my life because it answers fundamental questions like: "Who am I?" Or "Why am I here on earth?" My parents are both members of the Church, and I feel so blessed to have good parents with strong testimonies, but I also had to find out for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I read the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to ask God if it was true. There was no angel sent from heaven, no thundering voice telling me it was true, but there was a feeling of peace. This feeling of peace, joy, and hope was God's answer to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church here on the earth, and that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ in everything I do. I try to serve others and show kindness to those around me. I am currently on the Service Committee in my ward. We plan service projects for the community or for members of our ward who need extra care. I have also been called to watch over two girls in my ward, so I visit them each month to talk and share an uplifting message. I recently received my mission call. I have been called to serve in the Fort Lauderdale Florida Mission. I will be speaking Spanish. I am so excited!
