Hi I'm Steven Bush

I'm from Sacramento, California. I am a student at BYU and I'm about to leave on my mission to Liberia in Africa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California always playing basketball. I loved to play and spent hours shooting and practicing as it is a huge part of my life. I went to high school and had a lot of friends who were both members and non members before graduating and attending BYU. After attending for a semester I deferred so that I could serve a mission and I was called to serve in the Liberia, Monrovia mission in West Africa. I'm extremely excited to go and I can't wait for all the incredible experiences that I'm going to have.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church. My mom has always been a member and my dad was a convert to the church when he was 16. I always believed that it was true and followed what my parents and church leaders told me to do. However, it wasn't until I took one of my first classes at BYU that I truly gained a strong testimony that the church was true. I had a wonderful professor and he truly taught with the spirit each and every day that we had class. I began to read and study the scriptures every day and developed myself into the person that I am today. I love the church and I am so excited that I get to serve Him by going on a mission for the next two years. I know that what I am doing is right and there is no place I would rather go than my call of Liberia.

How I live my faith

While I am not perfect, I try my best to maintain and uphold the standards and principles taught by the church leaders. I read the Book of Mormon and go to church each week where I participate in the lessons taught and listen to the speakers and the spirit that they provide.
