Hi I'm Emmett Madsen

I love life! I enjoy dancing and surfing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm a 19 year old dancing, surfing, and current missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While those two hobbies may not seem to go together, they actually compliment each other rather well. The balance and technique I've learned in dance help me when I'm riding waves in my hometown. During the summers you can find me on the beach working as a beach lifeguard. However as fall and winter come along I'll be spending most of my time in the studio dancing! Now, serving as a missionary in the Halifax Canada, I am spreading the gospel message to everyone I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was curious as to my purpose on this earth and where I was going after I die. I questioned as to why so many Mormons seemed so happy and how I could get that happiness in my life. I know that my God love me. I know that he created a plan for us, his children, to return to Him. Being Mormon is not just about going to church, but encompasses a lifestyle that makes me a better, happier person. Deciding to serve a mission is the best decision I have made. Seeing the changes in other's life as they learn the gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much happiness to my soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by aligning my life to that of Jesus Christ's. Currently I help plan fun, inclusive events for anyone to come and enjoy. I try to spread happiness and joy to all those around me. I live a happy life. One way I find happiness in this life is by spending as much time outdoors in God's creation as I can. I try to remember all of the small things that I have been blessed with and repeatedly ask the question, "have I helped anyone today?" I think that helping others is the easiest way to find happiness and gratitude in this life, and that is how I live my life.
