Hi I'm Daeshaun

I am 19 years of age. Born and raised out of Cleveland, Ohio. Lived in Georgia now for six years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing the sports, football, and track and field. I love the game of basketball as well. I've played football for ten years of my life beginning at the age on nine. I also like to spend quality time withe friends and family. I graduated high school with the class of 2014. I plan to attend BYU-I in the winter semester of 2018, studying the field of business.

Why I am a Mormon

I investigated in the church the year of 2008-2009, where we had missionaries approach us about the church. At the time I was very unfamiliar with the church and the beliefs, therefore it took time for me to actually practice and learn the gospel. Three years later I found myself getting baptized because of how much I loved the church and the people that were there for me the entire way. If it weren't for the members of the church showing their love and kindness, I probably wouldn't be baptized today. Still to this day they support me and guide me the to the path needed to be, and I love them for that. I am the only member in my entire family, therefore support was a hard to find. But members of the church found a way for me to feel supported and cared in about as much as my family would have. Ive had so many miracles and blessings come upon me as I tried to choose the right and continue to find ways to be active and the church. I read the Book Of Mormon for the first time over the past year and found out the Book is true and that that there are many more things to find out on this earth as we we and listen and obey our Heavenly Fathers Commandments and direction. Im so grateful that a perfect plan was built for me and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was included in that plan. I love this church and I love the gospel. I wouldn't trade it for nothing else. It's Eternal!

How I live my faith

I currently have my mission call in which i'll be laboring in the Jamaica-Kingston mission. I'm very excited for this opportunity and can't wait to share my stories and help brothers and sisters come closer to the Savior. I am the the Branch Mission leader over in the YSA branch, and I've gained so much more knowledge and a better understanding of the Church's organization. It's really remarkable how a calling can change ones life. I continue day by day to live and practice the gospel so that I may strengthen my mind, body, and soul.
