Hi I'm Sister Aubrey Penrod

I grew up in Idaho. I am a BYU student. I am a pianist. I love my family. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 children. I am a BYU student. I have played the piano for 14 years. I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy indexing and family history work. I love to laugh. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a huge part of my life. It is my social life, education, and faith. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I have been called to serve in the Mississippi Jackson Mission, and I could not be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and want to follow in His footsteps. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the teachings and doctrine that allow me to follow Christ with exactness. It brings true joy and happiness into my life that I would not have found otherwise. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that living by it's teachings brings understanding and never-ending peace. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, and I know that God answers every prayer. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I serve a mission. I have accepted a call to serve in Jackson, Mississippi. I have decided to give 18 months of my life to the Lord to serve and invite others to come unto Christ. I am serving a mission because I want to share the joy that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given me everything, and serving a mission is only a small token of my appreciation to Him. I am living my faith as I share my testimony and happiness with others. I am "ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh [me] a reason of the hope that is in [me]" (1 Peter 3:15).

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Sister Aubrey Penrod
In my life, the scriptures have become a very special friend to me. They contain the answers to the questions of my soul. They have given me comfort and strength when I have needed it most. God speaks to me through the scriptures. The scriptures contain messages from God to His children, things He wants to teach us. If we diligently search our scriptures, we can gain answers, peace, and joy. We will know for ourselves that the words within the scriptures are true. Our testimonies will grow, and our faith and love for Jesus Christ will envelop us. As I read my scriptures daily, I lose the desire to sin. My desire to be more like Christ increases. I am happier, more patient, and more in-tune with God and His will for me. Prayerfully ask God for understanding, feast upon the words of the scriptures, and you will receive the answers you are seeking. You will be at peace, and your heart will be filled with more love than you could ever imagine. The Word of God is for you. It can bless you. Let it fill your heart, penetrate your mind, and strengthen your faith. Show more Show less
