Hi I'm Maryn

I love ice cream and swimming pools. I grew up in the heat of Arizona. I sing all the time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am a missionary! But besides that, I am a total nerd. I love reading, writing poetry, physics, calculus, philosophy, world religions, all of it. But I still have a social life! Friends and family are a huge part of my life--and it so happens that the members of my family are also my friends and my friends feel like a part of my family. I also sing. In church, in a choir, in a small acapella group, open mic night at a soda shop, wherever! I've taken opera lessons, sung in small jazz groups, and performed with huge classical choirs. It's all good stuff :) Oh and I play basketball hehe I've officially finished a semester of college, and boy it was fun and tiring and crazy all at once. I am passionate about education--the glory of God is intelligence! But the best thing in my life is my relationship with my Savior. I feel like He and I are pretty tight and that as I get to serve others, He is right there with me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. No doubts. I have questions sometimes, and trials, but never will I forsake the knowledge that I have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior. I was born into the church, but I made the conscious decision to accept the truth and devote my life to His service. I am a Mormon because it brings me true, eternal joy. I am a Mormon because my Savior atoned for my sins and the only way to accept His eternal gift is through baptism into His restored church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness--and you can too.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary. I am in Mexico with the sole purpose of inviting others to come unto Christ, to follow His example and receive all that God has to offer them. I preach of Christ, sing of His glory, serve His children, and study His doctrine. Everyday, from 6:30 to 10:30, I am about His work. It´s the best thing I have ever done. But I am not just living my faith because I wear a plaque with my church´s name. I live my faith everyday by trying to serve others and make the world a happier, moral place--so I like to be involved in charity/volunteer organizations! I used to work at the local library and have also worked with homeless shelters and international food relief groups. I had the chance to spend a few weeks in Cape Verde, Africa building houses and teaching English. My faith teaches me to love and serve ALL people.
