Hi I'm Lexi

I grew up in the church. I am a college student. I served in an orphanage in Cuenca, Ecuador. I love music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of five children in my family. I am currently attending college in the United States. I enjoy playing soccer; I also love music. I was in show choir in high school, and now I am in an all women's choir in school. I love traveling the world, and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know it the only source of true happiness in this life. When I was fourteen I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true. I received a conformation of its truth. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and He is the Savior of the world. I know that, through His atonement, all mankind can make it back to him someday. I know that God loves His children and He wants to bless us. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have the light of the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of a ward in my community. I serve on the activities committee for my ward, and I am also a visiting teacher. I am currently preparing to serve a mission.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Lexi
Mormons believe that the purpose of life is to become like God. We do this by receiving a body, learning to distinguish good from evil, and becoming part of an eternal family. Everybody has the opportunity to become like God. When we strive to follow His commandments, we show our desire to live with Him again someday and gain true joy in this life and the life to come. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Lexi
The Atonement is for everyone. It gives everyone a chance to repent and become like God. Without the Atonement, there would be no way for anyone to be cleansed of their sins in order to return to the presence of God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Lexi
God loves all of His children. He knows us each individually. It doesn't matter how far we think we have drifted from His love, He is always waiting for us to turn to Him. He has created a plan to help all of us obtain a fullness of joy in this life. Show more Show less
