Hi I'm Trevor Jones

I have lived in Utah most of my life. I love sports and animals. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a big brother and a little sister. I went to high school at a small school in Utah, and I loved the small community. I played football, basketball, and baseball for my high school team, and now I play intramural sports at college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. For the first sixteen or so years of my life, I relied on my parents' and teachers' testimonies. I never truly worked to develop my own testimony and to learn for myself that the things they taught were true; I just trusted that they wouldn't lead me astray. I tried to toe the line between right and wrong as closely as I could without getting in too much trouble. As time went on, I realized that I had to choose--I was never going to be truly happy while I was in that gray area. My decision was a simple one, but it wasn't easy. I knew what the right choice was, but I wondered if I would be strong enough to make that choice and stick to it. I had lots of friends and family that knew what my position was, and they did all they could to help me. I could feel their love as they tried to help me do what was best for me, and I will never forget the way that felt. I am a Mormon because only God's true love could make me feel that way. Now I try to live a life where I feel His guidance in everything I do, and I try to help others feel that love that changed my life so drastically.

How I live my faith

I try to live a charitable and virtuous life. I am always looking for opportunities to help others and serve them, and my ward callings give me that opportunity. I prepare a fun activity for a group of my peers once a week, and I hometeach once a month.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Trevor Jones
We all come to know our Heavenly Father in our own, personal ways. A few of the common ways may include talking to Him through prayer, reading testimonies from others, keeping his commandments, or a mixture of these things. I have come to know my Father in Heaven by slowing down and allowing myself to feel His Holy Spirit. We live in a loud, fast-paced world. It is easy for us to allow ourselves to become swept up in the everyday flow, making it difficult to feel the promptings of the Spirit. I have found that when I slow myself down and pay close attention, I can feel the promptings of the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. It has a very calming effect on me. It helps me feel my Heavenly Father's love. Show more Show less
