Hi I'm Aleseea

I've lived in Tennessee my whole life, I attended BYUI for three semesters, and I'm now serving a mission in Anaheim, California.

About Me

I love to bake and cook. Another thing I love is swimming! I am majoring in Webdesign and Development at Brigham Young University Idaho. I'd never done any sort of programming before attending college, but after I figured out what I was doing I really started enjoying programming. I'm even considering changing my major to one that involves more programming after I return from my mission to California in 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I have attended the Mormon church for my entire life, when I turned eight I was asked whether I would like to become an official member of the church or not, I decide to then, but not because I knew the church was truly God's church. I decided to because my parents were members and I knew that my parent wouldn't want me to become a member if it was wrong. As I've gotten older I have started to question the things that I have been taught and I have come to know for myself that everything that I have learned in the Mormon church is true and if everything it teaches is true, then the Mormon church must be true. I may have always attended the Mormon church, but it wasn't until I started asking the right questions and trying to learn things for myself that I became truly converted to the Mormon faith.

How I live my faith

I've decided that it would a good idea for me to serve a mission, because I love serving other people and while on a mission I will have many many opportunities to serve others. I think that serving others is one of the best things that one person can do for another, and even though service is the way that I live my faith, you don't have to be a Mormon to do service. Service is a thing that brings people from many different faiths together and joins them in a common cause, which in my opinion, is the best thing about serving. Other things I do to live my faith are reading the Bible and Book of Mormon on a regular basis, attending church, praying, and teaching others, because when teaching others it helps me to strengthen my faith, which in turn helps me to live my faith better.
