Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Utah, with a stints in North Carolina and Arizona. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student and I love music. I play the piano, sing, play the viola, campfire guitar, and I like to write music too. I love any kind of adventure like camping, hiking, and trying new things. I love the mountains because I feel like as I look up and see their grandeur and beautiful majesty, I am reminded of the marvelous world that God created for us and how much he loves us. It also reminds me that He who has the power to build mountains has the power to help me through my every day life and that with Him I can do anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in daily revelation. I believe that we have a Heavenly Father who speaks to us and guides us just as He spoke to and guided the people in the bible. The Book of Mormon is evidence to me that God is the Father of us all and that He speaks to and loves all of His children, not just the ancient children of Israel. I find my Heavenly Father's direction in my life as I try to live the best I can and as I pray and study the words of the prophets. This church has taught me, and I have since learned for myself, that our Heavenly Father loves all of his children. I have seen how much he cares for them and how personally he knows them as I have served them and been impressed to do exactly what they needed, without knowing it myself. Through the restored blessings and authority of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we have temples on Earth today, like the temples built in the Old Testament and we can be blessed to be with our families forever. I cannot imagine heaven being any form of paradise without my family. Knowing that Heavenly Father knows us personally and that we can receive guidance from Him every day is important to me because as I live my life, I have faced and will yet face many crossroads. While the choices have been mine to know, I've found great comfort in seeking answers to my prayers, asking my Father in Heaven how to know which path will make me happiest in the end. We all face decisions every day, small and large, that can only be helped by seeking guidance from a loving Heavenly Father who knows us perfectly and can help us to know his plan for us to live the happiest life we can.

How I live my faith

Sharing my faith through music is one of my favorite things to do. I like to visit my neighbors and friends with my viola and spend a few minutes playing my favorite hymns and taking requests. The hymns have beautiful messages that fill my life with meaning and help me to ponder on my scripture study and past experiences.
