Hi I'm Molly Mack

California grown. I'm majoring in sociology and I love dance! I also love reading, hiking, and eating good food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old university student studying sociology with an ongoing love of dancing and classic literature on the side. I was born and raised in a groovy California beach town. I have a fat, grumpy cat named Big Moe who is secretly a total love bug. I enjoy eating any food that can be described as "melt-in-your-mouth good." I had a short-lived career as a ukulele owner and have since just stuck to dancing and eating and cat owning. I don't know exactly what I'll do with this wild and precious life of mine. What I do know is that I want to help those who feel friendless or hopeless in this world--who need a little extra help or a voice. If I could just do that as a career somehow, I'd be a happy clam.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was a convert to the Church and my dad is not a member. Through my mom's example, I grew up in this gospel but was never pressured to join the Church or go on a mission or anything like that. When I was 8 years old, my parents made sure I received the lessons from missionaries as anyone investigating the church would have. I decided of my own volition to join and my life has been blessed beyond measure for that choice. Life has not always been easy because that's just not the way life works... but through this gospel I have always had the light of Jesus Christ to reach for when everything else seems dark. No matter what befalls you, Christ is there. This gospel brings me closer to Christ as I pray and read the scriptures diligently and with sincerity. I am a Mormon because the Spirit has testified to me that the LDS Church is Christ's full gospel on the earth today. I am a Mormon because, with the help of this gospel, I can become more capable, loving, and able to become the woman God has given me the potential to be. I am a Mormon because I love God and I feel His love when I live His gospel.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the church for many years already. Because of that, I've had the opportunity to serve in many ways! When I was a teenager, I was able to be on several committees that helped organize events for the youth in our local congregations. I was a chorister for the music in our main meeting (Sacrament meeting) for a couple of years as well. I've been in many youth presidencies for the young women's group in my church. I had the opportunity to be a Sunday School teacher for middle school aged kids while a senior in high school which was both challenging and extremely rewarding. I was a ward missionary in my college ward while I waited for my call to be a full-time missionary. I will now be heading out to be one of those full-time, badge-wearing, constantly smiling, bike riding missionaries! I'm excited for the next 18 months in which I will be able to spend all my time and energy helping to bring others to Christ and share the joyful message of this gospel with them.
