Hi I'm Daniel

I was born and raised in American Fork. I am an avid reader, academic, and Sandersonian. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, anything and everything. I indulge occasionally in writing short stories, poems, and other such things. I love to cook and bake although I cannot claim expertise in either discipline. I enjoy being outdoors, especially out in the middle of nowhere. I am a student at university, currently pursuing my education. I am a proud member of a choir, and enjoying singing at every chance I get.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of this church, but I still had a conversion story. Everyone does, even those of us raised in the gospel. I grew up never really doubting the truth of the LDS Church's teachings because they were all I knew. I still have a firm belief in the truthfulness of this church, but I had to find out for myself. I knew that the fruits of this church were good, I had seen it all my life, but I had questions and doubts. I was able to push through those with faith in Christ and in the personal witness I had received. I determined that it was far better to go through life with the Church than without it. Now I'm not perfect and never will be, but I am a Mormon and always will be.

How I live my faith

My faith is an integral part of who I am. I cannot talk about myself, my daily activities, or my lifestyle in general without talking about my faith. In a typical week, I will begin and end each day with a simple prayer, then go about my usual activities. I am a member of a religious choir, and that is a huge part of how I live my faith. We meet every day (during school months, in addition to my university courses) for an hour, and are expected to practice a half hour every day. I practice so that when the time comes to perform, I can simply testify of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. This choir is extremely time consuming, but I count it a small cost to be able to live my faith through music. I am also responsible for a half dozen of my friends and peers in the gospel, and I do this by serving them in whatever capacity they need and just being their friend. There are many other things that I do to live my faith, but the essence is that I try to live my life like Jesus did.
