Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just graduated high school and about to attend college. But before I attend college I have decided to serve a mission, giving 2 years of my life back to my father in heaven. What helped me make this decision is a verse from the bible, 1 Corinthians 1:25 "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men." I found that humanly wisdom is not as strong as godly wisdom, or "faith." In it we can find the strength to move mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Though this means that my testimony was not all my own from the start, the spirit has a way of making up the difference. I chose to continue in the faith even after my parents stopped asking me to attend and found it to be much more enjoyable now that I am doing it on my own. I am very thankful for my parents for introducing it to me, I can't imagine how my life would have turned out if I didn't have the answers that come from this church. I have had many deaths in my family and the knowledge that I will see them again in a wondrous afterlife is very helpful. Jesus is my guide through this earth and the key to entering the next.

How I live my faith

Being a Pre-Missionary, I try to find any opportunity I can to share my faith with others, I feel that it strengthens myself just as much as them. I am a home teacher and am hoping to serve in the temple before I depart. I feel that it is important to understand what I am going to be teaching to others so reading the scriptures is a huge part of my life right now, it is amazing what can be gained from them when re-reading a passage, even if it is just a feeling.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Everybody has "eternal life." This is a gift from heavenly father because he is kind and loving. The manner in which we spend this life is dependent upon our choices here on earth. Even the lowest kingdom is better than life on earth, however this is why we should strive to be worthy of the higher kingdoms, we will be there for the rest of eternity. How great will be our joy if we can return to live with out Heavenly Father and tell him that we truly did his work to the best of our ability. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism Is a very important part of everybody's life, it is the acceptance of Jesus and it is how we make use of his sacrifice for us. It is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God. So what happens if you don't get baptized while you are on this earth? If we are never baptized we cannot be permitted into the Celestial Kingdom, this is why we give everybody the opportunity, whether they had the chance or not while alive. Not to say that you have a free pass in the afterlife if you don't get baptized, but those who made an honest effort to do their best will not be punished for not discovering the church.
