Hi I'm Jessica

Hello! I grew up in Southern California, I love art, and I'm Mormon. ^-^

About Me

Soon to be missionary (one week!) artist, gamer, writer. I am 19 years old, I lived in Southern California until 11th grade, until we had to move to Utah due to my dad's new job. :) I make bad puns. I graduated highschool in '15. I'm not sure what else to add xD

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with the church, but my faith has grown over time from many experiences that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. ♥️ God loves you. I feel His love a lot in my life, and He has blessed me so much. It's also why I'm becoming a missionary, so I can help other people know of His gospel and plan for this life. :D

How I live my faith

Along with being a missionary soon- going out to teach our beliefs for 18 months somewhere in the world- I try my best to read the scriptures and pray each day. The last time I did service was helping tutor kids in reading, mainly timing them on spelling and listening to them read, and asking questions afterward. I really loved doing that and the kids were adorable and sweet. ^-^

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Jessica
You can talk to your local missionaries, who will be excited and pleased to help you. :D You can also talk with anyone who is a member of the church. If you know they're Mormon, don't be afraid to ask! Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jessica
While we do believe that baptism washes you clean from all your past sins, we also believe that there's more to it than just that. :) We believe that after we die, we are accountable for our choices and actions on Earth, so we need to continue good choices and works. We believe that just being baptized doesn't pronounce you 'saved', but we don't believe we ourselves can save ourselves either- we do the best we can in this life, and our Savior, Jesus Christ, will cover the rest.
