Hi I'm Elise Peterson

I'm a student at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at BYU-I. I loved the experience as it brought me opportunities to grow in the gospel as well as learn essential things for my degree. I'm looking forward to being a nurse, or in some sort of therapeutic practice. I absolutely loved my Human physiology class, where we learned all about the body and how it works. It's truly a gift from God, and a complex one at that. I have received my mission call to Helsinki, Finland and I am in the Provo MTC learning Finnish, headed to Finland on July 19, 2016. I cannot express how excited I am to go and serve my Lord and help build His kingdom.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel because of the principles it allows me to live by. They keep my mind alert and my perspective clear towards where I need to be going. I love my Heavenly Father, and I'm a Mormon because I have come to know my Savior by helping others. I know that this church is truly Christ´s church, because it is the fullness of His doctrine, and His teachings. We have God´s priesthood power, which is the authority to act on His name. We are so blessed to have this knowledge!

How I live my faith

"Outside of the will of God, there is nothing I want. And in the will of God there is nothing I fear." -AW Tozer -"Respond to every call that excites your spirit." -Rumi -"He who kneels before God can stand before anyone." -"Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes." -"You don't need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfection." -Wilson Kanadi -"Your life may be the only bible some read" -"Happiness keeps you sweet. Trials keep you strong. Sorrows keep you human. Failures keep you humble. And God keeps you Going." -"When I'm worried, it's usually because I'm trying to do everything myself. When I'm at peace, it's usually because I remember that God is in control." -"Your faith will grow, not by chance, but by choice." -Neil L. Anderson
