Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm from Salt Lake and am a runner and explorer. I've served in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission and now attend BYU. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I love to be outdoors, whether it is running, hiking, biking, swimming, or making snow angels. If I could do anything right now, it would be to travel the world. I served an 18 month mission in Cambodia and now study at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church brings me peace, hope, and happiness. I was born and raised in the church, but had a lot of doubts when I was 17. I was in the mountains reading the scriptures one day and this incredibly overpowering feeling of peace and love swept through my body. I knew that that was the Holy Ghost - a messenger of God - telling me that the church was true. I know that it was restored in 1820 by the prophet Joseph Smith, and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I know that in the temple I can find peace because I believe it's part of heaven on earth. I know that my family will be together forever because of the temple and because Jesus Christ lived, still lives, and loves me and you!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day! Apart from praying, reading my scriptures, and going to the temple regularly, I help the members in my church do family history and find their ancestors.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Simply put, a ward is a congregation of people who live in the same geographical area. A stake is a combination of a number of wards. You attend church with your ward. Both are like families because they bring you closer to people you wouldn't normally interact with and teaches you to love everyone. Show more Show less
