Hi I'm Colin

I'm from the state of Idaho in the United States. I have a passion for the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of five children. I have grown up in the church all of my life with a supportive, active family. I am college student studying biology. My hope is to eventually enter medical school and become a doctor. I love to hike, go backpacking, and rock climb. Currently, I am preparing to go serve as a missionary in the Romania and Moldova mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the church all of my life, but I know I wouldn't have followed its teachings if I hadn't acted in faith. I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself to see if it was true. I did my best to pray more frequently and to be diligent in keeping the commandments. I did what I could to keep my heart open. I felt that this was the true church. It is my testimony that the Jesus Christ did restore his church on the earth through Joseph Smith. I know this from prayer and living the laws given. I have never felt a greater love and happiness than when I have acted out in faith to find whether this was the true gospel.

How I live my faith

In my experience as a student, I learned the value of time. It is valuable and there is little of it to waste. Yet, I found that there was always time to spend time in fulfilling my duties as a member. I can find time at least once a month to go and home teach my peers. It may not be convenient, but I can also make time to perform my duties as a group secretary. Most importantly, there is always time in my day to help someone with a question or problem they have.
