Hi I'm Kelly

I grew up in Canada. I love peanut butter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love animals! growing up I had the opportunity to ride horses and raise cows and loved every minute of it! Growing up I also participate in numerous school sports; basketball was my favourite. I have also had the opportunity to coach swim club for my community and have so much fun doing that, I love seeing all of the swimmers improve and enjoy the competitiveness of the sport. I am taking a break from University and will be serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of this church and I have been raised in it. I grew up going to primary and learning the stories of Jesus and was taught by my parents. When I moved away from home to University I had to decide if I knew that this gospel was true or if I was just going because it was all I knew and all I was taught. I had to decide for myself if I really believed all of this and make sure I had my own testimony. I prayed to God, our Heavenly Father, with all of my questions and the spirit was able to testify to me of the truth of this gospel. I know that there is a God and that he hears and answers our prayers and loves each of us. I know that he sent his son Jesus Christ, who did in reality live on the earth and take upon himself not only the sins of the world, but all the pain and sorrow. Because he did this he knows exactly what each of us is going through. We are never alone. I know that Joseph Smith was a man called of God to restore Christ's church on the earth and that he was a prophet. I know that God really does lead His church through his latter day prophet President Thomas S. Monson who is a true prophet and called of God. I know that because of Christ's atonement we can be forgiven of our sins, that we will be resurrected, and that we can live with our family's for eternity. I know all of these things to be true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend church faithfully each week where I have been able to serve in various callings and participate in numerous ways. I have had the opportunity to teach at church as well as help plan, organize and execute a number of different activities and events. I love going to church and serving those around me.
