Hi I'm Karolee H. Mehew

I am from California and I am a wife, mother and grandmother and love to scuba dive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved being around people and when I started a career it was in Human Resources. I have always been curious about what motivates people to do what they do. The work was both rewarding and frustrating as people often chose to make decisions that proved to be disappointing, but the process was fascinating to me. For the past eleven years I have been a Realtor and helped people realize their dreams of home and family. I thoroughly enjoyed raising my children, but the greatest reward has been in watching my grandchildren as they are growing up to be responsible individuals and contributors to society. My husband, the love of my life, is the best part of everything.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. That His Son, Jesus Christ, lives and loves me and through His Atonement I may one day return to the presence of the Father and the Son. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to the earth and that we have a living Prophet in Thomas S. Monson. I know this because I have studied the Book of Mormon, the perfect pattern for everyday living, and I have prayed to know that it is true. I have felt the warm sensation that comes as the Holy Ghost has born witness that it is true. It is the same feeling I had in my soul when I held my children in my arms, or felt my husband's hand in mine, or said good-bye to a loving parent. The Comforter, promised by the Savior, to tell me I am not alone.

How I live my faith

I have volunteered with domestic violence and sexual abuse victims for many years. I have always felt someone needed to be there for them. I haven't always felt that I made a big enough contribution but I have always tried. I have worked with the youth for three decades including teaching early morning seminary. Currently, I teach a Gospel Doctrine class to the adults and love to see the light of knowledge go on in their eyes, just like my seminary students used to do. My sweetheart and I also serve in the Temple and feel the love of God radiating from that Holy House. But the real work of Christ goes on in visiting the sisters I have been assigned to care for and love.
