Hi I'm Myrna

I'm a mom of 5 and a grandma of 3 and a half! I was raised in Tucson, Arizona. I love being outdoors and being with my family!

About Me

I am a mom, a runner, a grandma, a wife, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. I have 3 daughters, and 2 sons. My youngest daughter was born with some serious health issues and we have learned a lot about prayer, and commitment to family. When she was born we were told she probably wouldn't survive. Sixteen years later she is a straight A student and an awesome sister and friend. My oldest Grandson lived only 33 hours, but we know that families can be together forever. We feel him with us in all our many activities and know we will see him again. My oldest son served his mission in Ghana, Africa and loves, (did I say loves?), the people of Ghana. My youngest son is currently serving a mission in Melbourne, Australia. It's hard for me to see them go to far away countries for years at a time but I know that the message they carry is the message of Happiness, Hope, and Peace, for individuals and families. My absolute favorite activity is watching my kids have fun together, vacation together, and just be each others best friends. They are so good to each other and so loving and supportive. Life isn't perfect, there are always ups and downs, but when you know that you will be able to be together again in heaven, it gives you a whole different perspective on life! You can handle anything..find peace..and move forward with happiness knowing that we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants to help us through our challenges and teach us loving principals.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church. But as with all personal understandings, I had to learn to understand and know for myself the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have learned life's trials are not punishments or Heaven turning its back on me, but an opportunity for me to learn, to show faith and gratitude even when things don't go the way I had hoped. I had am Mormon because I have prayed, lived, and worked through good and bad times and seen the results of living with and without the gospel in my life and the lives of others. I know from personal experience how much peace is available if we but allow the gifts of the gospel to be part of our lives.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth from age 16 through 22 in our church. I LOVE THE YOUTH! They remind me everyday what is good and right and possible through believing in Jesus Christ. I think that creating and supporting strong families is the what helps us build strong happy people that live in a confident and productive way. Our family works hard and plays hard. We know that by our example to each other and with friendships to others we can share our testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Courage during hard times, faith during trials, and love to others always has helped me live and share my belief in Christ and my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
