Hi I'm Aislinn Johnson (Matwaychuk)

I'm a Disney fanatic who loves dancing, puns, nature and whistling. I'm a Mormon! :D

About Me

"If your self-worth is based on anything other than your relationship with Christ, you are in big trouble" - Hyrum W. Smith Just a snow-loving, country-bumpkin Canadian with a strong love for God's furry creatures and a passion for feeding and growing my testimony. I love going out on adventures in the beautiful outdoor world. I come in second out of the 7 kids in my family. My siblings are my bestest friends! :D I love to laugh; laughing is my favourite! XD I quote movies. A lot. I'm a really big nerd when is comes to human anatomy. It's honestly super fascinating! I love music; fun, bouncy, upbeat, makes-you-want-to-dance kind of music ♫ Oh, and Disney! c: Captain Moroni and Ammon are my Book of Mormon heroes. My dream long-term career goals are to be a Pediatric Registered Nurse and a mid-wife. I went to college for a couple of years to become an RN, but those plans are now put on a short hold because I received my call to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ in the land of my ancestors: the Sweden Stockholm mission! =D (May 25, 2016 - Nov 21, 2017)

Why I am a Mormon

My family is my absolute pride and joy; a unit sealed together for time and all eternity. They're my eternal best friends. They help keep my feet on the ground, encourage me to always be my best self and continually remind me that I am a beloved daughter of God. That's why I am a Mormon. As long as I'm living by the words of our Prophet and keeping the commandments, I'm filled with a happiness that I can't describe. A happiness I never want to part with. And it gets better! Along with happiness, I find: comfort, satisfaction, protection, reassurance, security, guidance, peace and inspiration. That's why I am a Mormon. I have (as do you) an Elder Brother who has always been and always will be right beside me throughout anything and everything that happens. Someone who knows me. Someone who understands me. Someone who is my shoulder to cry on. Someone who can walk me through my countless mistakes and still make me feel loved. Someone who is always there with His arms stretched out still, waiting for me to come to Him. I love and trust Him with all my heart. He knows I'm not perfect, and that's ok. As long as I'm diligent, I know He will help with the rest. Building my relationship with Jesus Christ wasn't always peaches and creme, but where we are now is so so worth all the trials and heartache. He is my rock. He is my encouragement. He is my Friend. I know this to be true. That's why I am a Mormon. A simple question with a simple answer: Why am I a Mormon? Because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

My family is quite close; we start each day together in prayer, and end each day together with singing hymns, reading scriptures and praying. In doing this, it helps me to strive to live worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost so I can be an earnest and sincere contributor/role model for my family, along with my own personal daily prayers and scripture study. Because of where I live, my Branch is quite small. I'm very privileged to be the Youth (age 12-18) Sunday School teacher to my class of 2, who are actually my younger siblings. I love being a teacher for this Gospel because it continually increases my knowledge, and encourages me to be a good example; especially for my younger siblings.
