Hi I'm Erika Stauffer

I'm from central Utah, I love just about every subject under the sun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved once in my live . . . three houses down and across the street. I love nerdy conversations, math, science, writing, linguistics, music, and, of course, my Savior Jesus Christ. I have studied Spanish for five years and played the flute and piccolo in concert and marching band in high school. I have finished my second semester in college and am preparing to serve my LDS mission in Mexico City. (Good thing I already know the language pretty well.) My favorite movie is How to Train Your Dragon -- which has an incredible soundtrack, by the way -- and worked as a cashier/utility clerk at a grocery store.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but my reason for staying goes beyond habit. My life is filled with witnesses that this Church is true. I've had my ups and downs, but when I'm down, I remember my ups, and I know that I serve the living God. I have my own testimony that Jesus is the Christ, that He loves me, that He speaks today, and that I am on the right path. I am honored to be called a Christian and a Latter-day Saint. It is a down-right privilege to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I conduct the music in church meetings. I do the basics: pray every morning and evening, read my scriptures daily, attend church every Sunday, etc. Every week, I organize a trip to go to the local Temple to do baptisms for the dead with some friends. I pride myself in holding doors for people and do my best to treat everyone like the children of God that I know they are. I know my omnipresent God loves the little things we do to respect and love one another, so I make service an omnipresent part of my life.
