Hi I'm Jacob

I'm 19 years old and I recently received my mission call. I am going to the Chile, Vina del Mar mission speaking Spanish.

About Me

Right now I am a produce clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market but I also manage the floral department. I really enjoy physical activity especially with friends. I throw lots of parties and get-togethers. Right now my dad is teaching me how to paint. I am going to serve a mission soon in Vina del Mar, Chile. When I come back I will go to school at BYU Idaho and start a career in software sales.

Why I am a Mormon

My answer as to why I am a Mormon has changed a lot over the years. It has gone from, "Because my parents are" to "I like being a Mormon" to "That's how I was raised." Now my answer is really different because there have been changes in my life recently that change how I feel about my faith. Even though I love being a Mormon because I have lots of Mormon friends and family, I have learned to truly love the lord and I can feel that he loves me too. It's not something that I can put into words but I just have this feeling of love that changes how I act and feel. My church has done more for me than anything else in my life and I want to work the rest of my life to say thank you for that.

How I live my faith

I like to do lots of service for people because I'm good with manual labor and it's the easiest thing for me to do with the most reward. I am a future missionary and I hope to touch the lives of many. I already know that there is someone in Chile waiting for a tall skinny kid like me to come and ask him if he needs some help. I really enjoy spending time with my friends that I have made at church, they are very loving and kind and they set a great example for me.
