Hi I'm Bruce Wayman

I'm a Mormon. I joined the LDS church when I was ten years old. I have lived in Utah, Idaho, California, Conn.,and Virginia.

About Me

I'm Married and have five children all are grown and on their own. After high school graduation I Spent six years in the navy. I rebuilt and repaired Locomotives for about thirty years and then became an adjunct professor at the local community collage teaching diesel technology for five years My hobbies are collecting stringed acoustical musical instruments,( I have nineteen different acoustic instruments but only play the mandolin) and most anything that is submarine connected. That last hobby is inherent once you qualify as a submarine sailor which I did in 1970. I belong to the local chapter of sub vets incorporated. I am a proud american Veteran.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was baptized as a ten year old child, my conversion actually came when I was twenty six. I had read my wife's Patriotically Blessing. That Blessing promised her that she would be sealed in holy matrimony to a worthy man for time and all eternity. I wanted to be that man. I cleaned up my act (started living the principles and tenets of the Gospel) and prepared to go, and went, to the temple with her. I thought the temple experience was a little too much like Fred Flintstones Grand PooBaah Lodge with it's ceremonial robes and such. I though It( the LDS Church) couldn't be true, it was too corny. I have always believed in prayer and so I prayed to know if it was true and correct. I sorely and surely needed to know for myself wither to accept it or return to my worldly ways. A modern day miracle occurred, for me, that day and I can say without doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints and it's leadership are choice and chosen Representatives of Christ the Savior of all mankind.

How I live my faith

I have been an active leader in the local ward (church congregation) unit for most of my adult life. I have served in quorum presidencies. group leaderships positions in Sunday school presidencies, activity committees and Bishoprics. I have helped with Boy Scout fund raisers and acted in Road Shows (1 act plays)
