Hi I'm Hayley

I'm a violinist, a runner, a reader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Hayley. I am a freshman in college studying Computer Science and have been called to serve an LDS mission. I believe in living life to its fullest and never holding anything back, finding what you love and sticking to it. For this reason my hobbies vary- I have a passion for the violin and piano, have always loved to run, and enjoy spending time with those I love. You can often find me reading a book or eating a popsicle, sometimes both at the same time. I love my life and the people around me, and I have a knowledge that without the gospel it would be nowhere near the way it is. I am blessed immensely.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer is that I was born and raised in the Mormon church. However, this isn't quite the reason that I am a Mormon, it is the reason for my membership. There are many reasons that I am a Mormon, but here are a few of my favorites. I am a Mormon because this gospel fills every ounce of my soul with light and happiness. I am a Mormon because being a part of this church enhances my everyday life more than I can comprehend. I look around at the simple tender mercies each day and recognize the Lord's hand in it all. Miraculous things have been set into motion throughout my life that could never have happened without divine help. This shows me that God has a plan for me that is better and bigger than my own. I am a Mormon because through this gospel, I can be with my family for eternity. Through each passing of someone close to me, I have had a testimony that it is not a 'goodbye', but a 'see you later'. I know that I will see my loved ones again and be with them forever, and what greater gift could I ask for? I am a Mormon because I love the opportunity I have to be a vessel for good. I have seen this church touch people's lives and have seen the impact that its members have on each other and everyone around them. I love that the light in my life can show and hopefully lead others to become as I happy as I am, through Christ's church that is on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I have my regular responsibilities each Sunday to lead music and an assignment to visit some sisters in my ward, but living my faith goes beyond that. I live my faith by always striving to treat others like Christ would. I live my faith by letting the light of Christ shine through in everything that I try to do, so that others might be blessed by it. Living my faith for me means tying the gospel into my everyday life by reading my scriptures, being grateful, and serving others.
