Hi I'm Benjamin

I love playing sports, sitting around the campfire, being with my family, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving the Lord in the Cradle of the Restoration in upstate New York. I am son to the 2 greatest parents, a brother to the 6 best siblings, and blessed to be an uncle to 12 of the cutest kids on Earth. I have grown up in the outdoors. I love competing in every sport, working hard in the yard, and being in the mountains. Before my mission I had the opportunity to play football through High School and some in College. Following my mission I will be attending school in Utah to be close to my family and loved ones.

Why I am a Mormon

It makes sense to me. The teachings and the doctrines are whole. I am able to find answers to questions of the soul through the Book of Mormon. I have come to know that this gospel contains the complete teachings of Jesus Christ. I have come to know this by praying to a loving Heavenly Father who knows me, who cares about my struggles and victories, who knows exactly how to answer my questions and concerns. He answers my prayers through the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon has brought me closer to Christ. It has taught and clarified many truths for me, such as, a deeper meaning of Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice, the true nature of the Godhead, the need for Priesthood Authority, the correct way to Baptize, and a complete understanding of God's Plan of Happiness. I know that all of Christ's teachings have been brought back to the Earth by a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

The best way I can describe how I live my faith is by being myself. I go about all my normal daily activities: work, school, serving as a Missionary, buying those delicious Beto's burritos, or playing pick up games with my friends; and try to be a light for others. I mess up all the time, so I repent and try again. I know that it is only through the Savior and His power that I am able to be forgiven and be changed. The joy that comes into my life when my actions bless someone else is huge. Some simple actions I try to do each day are: opening doors for others, complimenting others, waving, smiling, not yelling at the person who just cut me off, telling my family I love them, sharing a scripture with a friend, reading from the Book of Mormon, praying for others, and doing my best to act on every prompting from the Holy Ghost.
