Hi I'm Ella

I grew up in the hot desert of Arizona. I love adventure. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love the idea of a great adventure. Ask me if I want to go somewhere crazy and exotic, and end up spending money I don't have, and I'm there! I see the world as a big artistic creation, in which there is so much to discover, so much to see, and so much to experience! Although I haven't gone anywhere too crazy yet, my heart is all in it and my mind is on it constantly. You can say I'm a dreamer. I also have always loved theatre; creating experiences and lives on stage is one of my greatest joys, although nerve racking at some points... I am not extroverted, so being social takes time, but I love to talk once I get to know you! Probably a little too much.. I let out all my pent up energies and passions into my art, especially when it comes to ink and water colors! I love to mix my mediums. Most of all, I LOVE spending time with my family, and I mean ALL the time. I've come to see them as an extension of myself- people I'll always love and want to take care of- they're definitely my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I can say, with surety, that if I had not grown up with the church, I would have seen how beautiful of an organized group that it is. The gospel expresses everything about the word "Caring," and what it means. Everything taught is surrounded with the love of Christ, and His great want for us to return to Him. It is focused on making us better people by serving and taking care of eachother. The lifestyle of the church is all about strong families, healthy bodies, non-judgmental ways, service to others, overcoming trials and temptations that lead to unhappy endings, and enduring to the end in hope and light! When I look at those things, I only find myself feeling like there's a chance that I can really feel happy, comforted, and peaceful. And it is because of those assurances that I understand what I need and am supposed to do in this life. Nothing would scare me more than to not know what I am here for. Whether the gospel is true or not- and I know it to be true- I would still want to be a part of it and live in these ways. I would be a part of it because the teachings of the gospel are all good, and I feel, the best life I can live morally, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. I am so thankful for the love of God, for the peace and mercy of Christ, and for the knowledge that I can forever be with my family.

How I live my faith

My favorite thing to do is try to see the world and people through God's eyes. I've always been able to recieve perspective and light in my life when I act as He would, towards anything I do or say. In church, I have been called to teach the little 5 year olds of our ward, for the past 2 years, and boy do I enjoy it! It's during times like those, how you come to understand why God has asked us to become like little children. When I was younger, I had been called into various positions in our Young Women's group; teaching, being an example, organizing, and being a friend to all the girls. Soon I'll be on my way, to serving the Lord and all his children, as I leave for my mission in CANADA! I already love the people there! And I am hoping and praying with all my heart that I will be able to give them the happiness, service, and love of Christ that has been a constant in my life, as I have been a part of the LDS church.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

The church teaches about self-reliance so that we can all be prepared for what comes. Whether it be individually or as a family, it has been said many a time, that only we can truly be strong if we prepare ourselves, may it be mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

In church, leaders and missionaries all teach that the Gospel's whole purpose is to help everyone to come unto Christ and have all faith in Him. Show more Show less
