Hi I'm Sam

I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I am a college student studying biology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying biology and getting ready to serve a full time mission. My hobbies include tennis, hunting, and cycling. I was involved in student government in high school and was captain of the tennis team.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family with parents who strive to live the gospel. In my teenage years I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it for myself to know whether it is true and Heavenly Father has confirmed that it is unto me through the Holy Ghost. Having my own testimony I find myself constantly building upon it and strengthening it. Living the gospel has blessed my life and gives me the strength and determination to be a worthy disciple of God.

How I live my faith

In my church I serve various callings, such as visiting families in my ward to see ow they are doing and how I might be able to serve them. I also have responsibilities in some callings to coordinate activities for the youth and in giving service.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Sam
We are born into families here on earth so that we have a loving environment where we can learn and grow. It is through families that we experience both sorrow and joy. The setting of the family is a foundation in Heavenly Father's plan for us when coming here to earth. If we live righteously and strive to keep the commandments of God, we can live with our families for eternity. Show more Show less
