Hi I'm Valerie

I like bands. If my career as a geneticist doesn't pan out, I think I'll build my stairway to heaven by living on a prayer.

About Me

I come from a family of 17 in which I am the 17th child. I have four brothers, six step-brothers, four sisters, and two step-sisters. We're from Salt Lake. 😙 I have a passion for peanut butter and chocolate, which are two things I think should be sealed, or at least allowed in the celestial kingdom, and i make a mean peanut butter mood due to working at Jamba juice. If you ever need a hug, I am a hug dealer. 😂 I love the Lord, my future husband, and my eternal family. In that order. I believe every person is a child of God! Everyone deserves to know that, and to feel his love.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. I have received witness after witness in my life that this is the true church and that Jesus Christ lives and loves me. I have not always followed the path Heavenly Father wanted for me, but I have always made the choice to come back to Him because I know that it is true, albeit very hard. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have received multiple personal revelations that it is. I testify of Christ and I know He is my brother and Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week, striving to live as my Heavenly Father would have me do, and following the Spirit. I have left my home to serve a mission in Oslo Norway. Having served as a leader in the young women's programs both by calling and by virtue of being the oldest in my ward, I have learned that I am actually pretty shy unless I'm with people much older or younger than me. Fortunately, Heavenly Father placed opportunities in my way to become more outgoing, and while I don't like starting social interaction any more than before, I feel much more comfortable talking to people about my testimony and the gospel in general.
