Hi I'm Miranda Powell

I grew up in Idaho. I like to read and write. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read and write novels. Dystopian is my favorite genre for both. I like a lot of sports, however tennis is my passion. My family and I spend most of our summers playing tennis together. In my senior year I took a CNA course and am now certified.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that by being on God’s team, we cannot fail. His team is the winning team, so I strive to stay on it. I have testimony that the trials in our lives are not punishment, but ways to strengthen us. He will not give trials that we are unable to handle. Trust in Him. He knows us better than we do. I have a testimony of this gospel. Without its truth I would be wandering aimlessly, confused and lost. It has given me a foundation to build myself on and guidelines of how to live my life. I am grateful for the sacrifice our Savior made for all of us. He gave us the chance to become perfect in Him, if we so choose, and will make up what we cannot with His grace. I know that we are all sons and daughters of God, and He loves us unconditionally. Nothing we do will destroy that. I cannot express how much joy comes from knowing that I am sealed to my family for time and all eternity. I love the compassion members show towards each other, knowing that we are all striving to reach the same place in Heaven. I know that satan only has power over us if we let him.

How I live my faith

I love going to the temple. The Spirit is strong there, and heaven feels close. I attend church meetings faithfully. I graduated from seminary. I was called as a young woman's leader right after I completed the program. My family and I read the scriptures and pray every night. I try to be consistent in my personal prayers and reading. I will participate in any service project I can.
