Hi I'm Warrick

I'm a uni student that works part time. I'm preparing to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was studying a commerce degree to hopefully one day run my own business but I put that on hold to prepare to serve a mission. I love sports! I am a member of the North Melbourne Kangaroos football club. I play basketball and indoor soccer. I follow the Miami Heat NBA basketball team.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ gives me true happiness in this life. I wake up every morning knowing what my purpose is, where I am going and why I am here. It truly helps me to see things in the right perspective and not let the unimportant issues of life weigh me down. Knowing the answer to these questions help me to know what direction I need to go, what I need to do and makes me happy as I have a purpose and a reason behind my decisions. It makes a big difference between choosing to do something because you know the answers or just doing something because that is what everyone around me does. I have found the answers to these questions as I have read the Book of Mormon, pondered what it has taught me and prayed to know for myself whether it is true. As I have prayed I have received countless reassurances through the holy ghost that it is. Another way that I was first able to identify the Book of Mormon was true was through the fruits of reading it. I found that while I was reading the Book of Mormon I became a better person. My life was more meaningful and filled with happiness. I wasn't as angry or as hurt but rather something inside me was slowly changing for the better and I recognized that this was the power of reading the Book of Mormon and so it must be true. As I prayed and tested the words written in the Book of Mormon my prayers were answered and I received a witness of it truthfulness. I know that it is all true and that anyone can discover it for themselves as I did by reading the Book of Mormon and testing its word. I know that living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings me more happiness in this life then I could have accomplished through any other avenue. I am so grateful for it in my life.

How I live my faith

I organise different activities for a bunch of the men to do. It mainly consists of barbecues or service projects. I teach a lesson once or twice a month. I help to organise the families of our ward to be visited each month to make sure they are okay. I have my own families that I reach out to every month.
