Hi I'm Camille

I have 5 children, am very involved in the Boy Scout program, and love spending time with my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

After getting degrees in Sociology and Social Psychology, and an advanced degree in Counseling, I decided to be a stay at home mom to raise my children. I put all of that education into my family. I have been homeschooling my children for eleven years. One thing we love to do as a family is to get involved in the Boy Scout Program. I have one son, but we love the program so much that we do a lot of service, hiking, and volunteering as a family. We are kept busy with dance classes, piano lessons, singing classes, cycling, hiking, youth nights, flag team practices, and our commitments to our church.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was introduced to the LDS church through my father when she was 18 years old. She talked with the missionaries many times and eventually joined the church. My father was a member of the church his whole life and his ancestry goes back to people in England converting to the LDS church and coming to America. I was raised in the LDS church. It has been a stabilizing factor in my life. I was raised going to church, singing songs, giving service, and trying to follow Jesus Christ. Seeing how I was raised in the church has encouraged me to raise my family in the church. It has been a good, positive thing, seeking to be happy by following Christ. I know I am happier because I choose to live the gospel that I have learned. The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. I have problems, trials, struggles, but I know that I can overcome all things through Christ who provides me daily strength. I know I won't have any trial or struggle that He can't help me overcome.

How I live my faith

The main way I live my faith is with my family. We study the Bible and Book of Mormon together, we attend church together, we meet together every Monday night to talk about principles of Jesus Christ. I try daily to live what Christ taught and to teach my children the same. It is difficult many days as I get busy with trying to get my to-do list done. I have to step back frequently and remember what is really important; being a good wife, mother, and Christian. I love to work with the youth! They are such fun people, although somewhat unreliable! I help out with the Boy Scouts by helping them work toward their advancement. I help to organize community service projects. I also teach a class on Sunday for the ladies in our church.
