Hi I'm Nori

Venezuelan. Raised in Utah. I love my Heavenly Father. I love my family. Called to serve. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in the country of Venezuela, but moved to the United States when I was 4 and have lived in the beautiful state of Utah ever since. I have grown up in a bilingual household my entire life and have been blessed to be fluent in both English and Spanish. I love to play guitar and sing; my secret dream is to learn to play the piano. During my years in high school, I became passionate with photography and became the head photographer on my school's yearbook staff. While there, I had the opportunity to really experience so many aspects of high school; choir, ballroom dance, and photography occupied most of my time during those years. Following high school, I worked and attended college through BYU-Idaho's Pathway program. I am now serving in the GREAT California Ventura Mission from 2016-2017 and sharing this wondrous gospel, which I have been so greatly blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

About 4 years before I was born, my parents were converted to the church by missionaries. All my life I had been raised with the standards and truths we are taught within the gospel, and although I knew them in my head, I did not feel I knew them in my heart. Around the age of 14, when I started attending seminary, I decided I wanted to know for myself if this church was true. I no longer wanted to live it because everyone around me told me it was true, but because I knew for myself. I began to diligently read and ponder the scriptures, heeding to the promise made in Moroni 10: 3-5, "Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. And when ye shall receive these things I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things be true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." My answer didn't come immediately, it came as I continued to seek for truth and kept my sincere desire to receive an answer. Many years have passed, and I have without a doubt received my answer and continue to receive my answer every day. This knowledge of the truth and love for this gospel is what has driven me to have a strong desire to serve a full-time mission and to share with others the hope and light that comes from a relationship with Christ.

How I live my faith

I am now serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have given my heart, might, mind, and strength to serving and helping others come unto Christ through His restored gospel.
