Hi I'm Jessica Kartchner

I'm a runner, a special ed teacher, and a social butterfly....and I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I love to hike, run, bike, and eat chocolate ice cream. I am a social butterfly and love to meet new people. I teach high school special education, which brings me a lot of joy (and exhaustion!). One of my favorite parts about my job is the funny things my students say:)

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon gets me through the day to day trials of life. It gives me a reason to be happy and to look forward to the future. Through attending church and reading the scriptures each day, I can feel the Savior's love in my life on a consistent basis. Knowing that Jesus Christ knows and cares for me personally keeps me from feeling lonely and helps me reach out to the people around me and help them feel a little more of His love.

How I live my faith

After teaching at work Monday through Friday, I also teach on Sundays at church. Teaching about the principles of faith, love, and hope brings me a feeling of peace. One of my favorite parts of my week is when I get to volunteer at the temple. I believe the temple is God's house, and I love the light and warm feeling I have when I am there.
