Hi I'm Meaghan

I've lived in several US states. I'm the oldest of twelve and I have a twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently going to college and am thinking about going into Veterinary Technology or becoming a Ballet Teacher. I hunt with my dad and love archery. I enjoy horseback riding or anything that has to do with animals. I like to read good books and love to write my own stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I was taught from when I was small to obey the commandments and to love others. My family read the book of Mormon when I was young but I first read it for myself when I was twelve. I took Moroni's challenge at the end of it and prayed to know if it was true. A warm, peaceful feeling came over me when I asked God if the book was true. I received a witness every time I've read it. If you feel lost and are searching for answers, read the book of Mormon, with a belief that you will receive an answer. I promise you will find one in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I did teach the youth but I am about to serve a full-time mission for the church. I attend church every Sunday.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the single greatest event in the history of the world. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross at Golgotha for all of our sins. The pain was so great that he bled from every pore. The Savior tells us: “For behold, I... have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer... even as I.” (Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-17) Christ did that because he loves each one of us. He made it possible for us to be resurrected which means that our spirits and our bodies will be reunited after death. He sacrificed His life so that we could return to live with Him after we die, if we repent and believe on His name. Repentance means that we are sorry for what we did wrong, if we make a mistake and we try to fix it. We ask God and the people we wronged to forgive us. Great happiness comes from repentance and trying to become a better person throughout your life. Show more Show less
