Hi I'm Abigail Nemeth

I grew up in Idaho. I love politics, animals, snowboarding, and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying broadcast journalism and political science. In my free time I like to read, watch movies, and go hiking, running, or snowboarding. I have a huge passion for adventure! Some day I hope to see the whole world and have a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because around the age of 15 I made friends with some other kids that were living the Gospel with exactness and I saw how happy it made them and their families. I had already been baptized a Mormon when I was nine, but had never done anything with it. I wanted that happiness and that glow that I could see in my new friends, so I began to attend church every Sunday. After I attended church and learned about the commandments, why we have them, and also about the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ, I knew with unshakable assurance that this was the perfect path to happiness. Being a Mormon has not made the trials in my life go away. I still have them like everybody else. However, it has taught me how to avoid creating trials for myself by keeping the commandments, and it has helped me to be happy and grow when trials are out of my control. Learning that I am literally a daughter of God and that I can become exactly as he is some day has given me a purpose that cannot be changed with the trends of the world. I will be happy in life no matter what is thrown at me because I know everything happens so that I can return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending and participating in my weekly church meetings every Sunday. As a college student moving around has put me into many different wards where I have been placed in leadership positions over the women my age. We plan wholesome activities, learn about our Savior Jesus Christ, and watch over one another in all aspects of our lives. I also try to spread the love of the Savior by taking part in various service groups such as National Honors Society, Rotary Interact, and Rotaract. We do things such as volunteer at blood drives, make blankets for children, and help with races for charity.
