Hi I'm Becca Cochran

I'm a feisty human, slightly dramatic, and very sarcastic. I love naps, all dogs, and laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and am a fashion enthusiast. I'm both a dreamer and an idealist in one body. My family means everything to me. I believe that every single human being has a divine calling in this life and that we must find ours! I feel as though I am still in search of purpose in this life and that serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is going to help me find it and bring me a sense of peace and happiness nothing else in the world can.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where the gospel was taught but it wasn't until about two years ago that I had my own personal conversion. I knew God was real and that the gospel was true but I wasn't committed to it. I know people say "things don't happen overnight" but for me it did, one day I woke up and I knew I had to go on a mission. I've always had the desire to share the gospel with people around me, but growing up, I never saw myself serving a mission. I believe one of my callings in life is to share God's message and love for everyone, because we are all His children and deserve to know Him and His plan for us. In a few weeks I will have the opportunity to forget myself and share our Heavenly Father's great message for 18 months in the Las Vegas, Nevada West mission! I am both excited and nervous for the growth it will bring.

How I live my faith

I live by the motto, "if you aren't moving forward, you are in fact going backwards." Everyday is a chance for me to be better and improve myself. I am in competition with no one except the person I was yesterday. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and try my best everyday to live my faith because it gives me hope and joy. It isn't always the most convenient thing, but what my Savior did for me and the world wasn't convenient either. I believe that our actions in this life echo into eternity, and knowing that gives me the perspective I need on a daily basis.
