Hi I'm Krista

I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a pianist and a Reiki master. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of one and the mom of two. I thoroughly enjoy playing the piano and am learning even more skills in my calling as a ward organist, haha! I graduated from BYU and have kept learning since. Discovering Kundalini Yoga Meditation has really enhanced my relationship with God and my awareness of the blessings that surround me! I spent a few years doing web programming and other more technical things before my first kiddo was born. Now that I'm home with my boys, I am learning to serve and nurture postpartum women, and I'm a Reiki practitioner; I love helping people. And I crochet and knit small handicrafts; that's as far as my "crafty" attention span goes!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the things I've learned bring light to my heart and mind. Knowing that God lives and loves me, and that we can communicate, is incredible! I love my Savior, and I feel that this is where He wants me to be for my soul's growth. The reasons I love Mormonism really boil down to those things and openness to further learning - seeking after more knowledge of things lovely and praiseworthy. I want to be better than I have been, and I am immeasurably grateful that my Heavenly Parents and Savior have provided a way for me to do that!

How I live my faith

I serve both in and out of callings at church - as a visiting teacher, a pianist in Primary (the children's organization), and an organist. There's also the huge job of helping my children learn and feel loved and valued for who they are; they are so different, yet so precious to our Heavenly Parents. Trying to help them understand that has helped me learn a great many things about both them and God, as well as reminding me that I'm another one of God's children with things to contribute.
