Hi I'm Joshua

I grew up in Utah. I love Scouting, outdoors, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing and I actually sang in a choir in High School for 3 consecutive years. I have four siblings, one brother three sisters, and I am right in the middle. I worked at a scout camp for four summers and loved it. I also am a HUGE nerd. I love comics, movies, video games, the whole deal. I am currently serving a mission in Pennsylvania, and am helping spread the gospel to the people here.

Why I am a Mormon

though I was born in Utah and have been a Mormon all my life, I truly became a follower of Christ when I prayed for myself to know if this church is Christs restored church here on the earth as I had learned when I was younger. After the most sincere prayer of my life, I felt a reassurance that this is the one true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures everyday and going out to greet the day with a desire to serve as Christ served. I am sharing the gospel now in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh mission. I am trying to use my talents that God gave me to share his truth to others.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joshua
Joseph Smith was a 14 year old boy who was confused about religion, much like many people today. He was alive during a time where there were religions being formed here and there, and they all contradicted each other saying that they were right and the others were wrong. While trying to figure out which one he should join he turned to the bible and read James 1:5 "If any of you lake wisdom let him ask of God..." He went to a grove of trees and prayed and received a visitation from God and Jesus Christ, who told him that none of the churches were true. Later on in his life he began to receive lessons from angels and translated ancient texts into what we call The Book of Mormon. He became a prophet, or the leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He received many other visitations, or visions, from God to learn what to do and how to guide the people of the church. Because of what he said, he made a lot of enemies and eventually became a martyr June 27 1844. Show more Show less
