Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Indiana. I'm preparing for a mission in Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am fourth in a family of four girls. I love to read and write. I was born in Kentucky, but have spent most of my life in Indiana and Kentucky; count me as a Hoosier. I was born and raised in a wonderful, LDS family who have loved me and supported me all of my life. I am a recent high school graduate who is preparing for college, but college is on hold for what I hope will be the best decision of my life. Very soon, I am leaving on my mission to Mexico. I know the Holy Ghost will guide me through the next 18 months. I am a missionary. A student. A sister. A daughter. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. For me, this has been a wonderful blessing. I have been given an entire lifetime to learn about the Savior and His gospel. Through the years I have come to understand and have greater faith in His gospel. The more I learn, the stronger I feel my faith become, and the more I want to continue to learn. Through the Holy Ghost, I have found my prayers answered in my lowest of times and I have been able to make the decisions that the Lord has wanted me to make.

How I live my faith

I have always worked to read my scriptures and pray daily. I attend church every week and go to Institute as often as I can. As a youth, I worked in many leadership roles with the other young women in my ward. Because my parents often had important leadership positions, I have always had opportunities to help and support them in their callings.
