Hi I'm "Taf"

I grew up in Samoa. I was fortunate to attend LDS sponsor schools in Pesega, Sauniatu and Mapusaga. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in American Samoa, raised in both Tutuila and Upolu. Moved to the States, California when I was 17. I served in the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic. I served in the Air Force for 12 years. I was with the SR71, (HABU) project until I separated in 1982 to join the California Highway Patrol, (CHP). I went back and joined the Air Force Reserve where I continue to serve as a Jet Engine Mechanic on the C-5 and as an extra duty First Sergeant. I was also performing CHP duties at the same time frame. I retired from the Air Force Reserve on February 2007 and the CHP on August 2010.

Why I am a Mormon

The world is full of wonderful people, sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. I have witnessed His tender mercies in my life. I have felt His love for me personally. My life have been spared several times while serving both as a military person and as a police officer. The teachings I received when I was very young from my parents, grandma and church has helped me build a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, (Mormon). It has brought me closer to the Savior Jesus Christ and that is why I continue to serve Him in His restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I had served in various callings in my church. I served as a Sunday School teacher, Scout Master, Youth Leader, Ward Missionary, Home-teacher and a bishop, (local pastor for a congregation). All these responsibilities are to bring people together and to build their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
