Hi I'm Melanie

I was born in California, but raised in West Valley. I am called to serve in the Washington Yakima mission and report Feb 10th.

About Me

My name is Melanie and I'm a Mormon! I was born in the covenant so i have been living the gospel and learning about it since i was little. I am currently preparing to become a full time mission and head off to the MTC in a couple more weeks. My hobbies include playing the piano, ukulele, and also I love to sing. When I get back from my mission I plan on going to college and studying to be a physicians assistant and just progressing as much as I can in the medical field. Also getting married in the temple and starting a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon is not a hard question at all, I choose to be a Mormon and better yet choose to go out and preach his word because I know it to be true, I know that through Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father we can be able to come back to his presence and have eternal life. I know that Jesus died for us and came and suffered all that he suffered because he loves us and he wanted to give us a way to repent and be worthy to enter into the kingdom of God. I've never really had a question if these things were true, I've always know that this is gospel speaks the truth and by it we can feel closer to God and his son. And that my family can be together forever, my mom had 2 miscarriages and it hurt our family so much and caused us great sorrow, but because we have the gospel I know that I will be able to see my brothers or sisters in the next life and be able to hug them and give them the love that I didn't get the chance to give them here on earth. I know that families can be together forever even after death. You feel a sort of peace knowing that you are a part of his plan and that every trial and every challenge is meant just for you to grow and learn more. I thank Heavenly Father for all the challenges I have faced and the many more challenged I will face or am facing now. I know they will make me a stronger wiser and better person, and I am an instrument in his hands. My missionary scripture is a scripture that touches my heart every day its in Alma 29:8-9. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I have always loved to be a leader and help others. My callings have always helped me build on that foundation of being a leader. my callings have included: laurel president, youth committee member, piano player, and leader of the music, primary teacher and now missionary!
