Hi I'm Liz

I'm a lover, not a fighter. I enjoy quality family time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school graduate who is momentarily focused on my family and my faith. I absolutely love being an Aunty and spending time with my family, crazy as they can be. As per the cliche I love to read regency period books, as well as anything else that has an endearing blurb. My favourite indoor hobby besides reading is watching movies. Some of my favourite Genres include Comedy, Rom/Com, Action and Family. I adore Disney no matter how old I am and yet I know I could watch Harry Potter or The Hobbit on repeat. Music is a great passion of mine and I am so grateful for my talents. I love singing and dancing, spending time with others and being out the community. For me, it is so important to do what you can in and for the community. Aside from all this my faith is the most important thing in my life. It has kept me happy and safe through my darkest moments and I know I would not be who I am today without it.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because the peace I feel and the understanding and direction I receive from the Gospel. There have been many times when I have felt lost and alone in the world, no matter how large and supportive my family or friend base was. Yet as cliche as it sounds, through my faith I was able to find the peace and understanding I didn't even know I was looking for. As with everything it can be hard to do the right thing but I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven for my mistakes, so long as I am truly contrite and continue to do my best to not make the same mistakes. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to attend church each week, to learn/remember doctrine and principles that bring me closer to my Heavenly Father. I know that we are all spirit children of God and that he loves us all equally, no matter who we are or what we have done. I love this Gospel and though we as members are imperfect, the Gospel is not and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best me I can be. I spend time with the youth of the church in hopes of giving them a friend to turn to when they feel they cannot go elsewhere. I help to organise events that can uplift others and spread good cheer. I use my talents in singing, conversing and comforting to bring happiness and joy to the people I come across no matter what their situations may be. I live my faith by staying true to my beliefs and holding firmly to my standards. Anyone who knows me knows I am a mormon, not just because of what I say, but also because of what I do. I try everyday to follow the example of Christ because although I am imperfect, he was, and he set the best example for how I should live my faith.
