Hi I'm Summer Stone

I am 19 years old. I am college student at Brigham Young University and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything involving music. I have played the piano for 11 years and am still learning. I took dance classes all growing up and I took voice lessons during high school. I went to 2 semesters at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am now preparing for my mission in the Idaho Boise mission. I will leave on January 27th, 2016 and return in July 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been grown up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I was baptized on February 5th 2005. I have always known that the church is true and that The Book Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is the true word of God. When I was college this last semester I knew I needed to serve a mission so I started the paperwork but I was worried because I had not had a strong confirmation or experience that this was the right thing for me to do in this time of my life. I prayed to have an experience to know this was the path I was supposed to take. My answer did not come right away but about a month after my papers had been submitted my family went to Southern California for my cousins baptism. As soon as he walked into the water and was baptized, I knew that was exactly what I needed to be doing for the next 18 months. Bringing people unto Christ and helping them get ready for baptism so they could make covenants or promises with our Father in Heaven. I know with all my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet we have on the earth today. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me so I can return to my Father in Heaven. I have a testimony that I am doing the right thing by setting aside my life for the next 18 months to dedicate my whole life to the Lord and bring people unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had lots of callings in my ward at home in Loomis, California and callings in my wards in Provo Utah. I have been an organist and a pianist for group the women meet together in called Relief Society. Also, to prepare for my mission I was called to serve as a ward missionary and reach out to the members who weren't as strong.
