Hi I'm Selina

I'm a quirky California native, serving as a missionary in Texas. I'm an outdoors and music enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an ecology major at Brigham Young University in Idaho. My goal is to graduate and become a park ranger for a national park in California. I love the outdoors more than I think I could express. Environmental science is my passion, not only because it's so fascinating, but because it is so remarkably beautiful! I also am a dabbler with music and the arts. Singing is not a hobby, but kind of more a lifestyle. I greatly enjoy painting and anything that has to do with Shakespeare. Oh and food is my jam. I don't really discriminate, as long as it tastes good! My family is also my life. Coming from a family with four brothers, and one sister, I'm quite the tom boy since my main men are my brothers. But I adore them, and love goofing off with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. As cliche as that sounds, it's the truth. There is not anything in this world that has caused me more joy, peace, and comfort than the gospel of Jesus Christ. My Savior's unconditional, never changing love for me has helped me through not only the best of times, but the hardest of times. His atoning sacrifice for me and my sins has given me hope to start over again, move forward from past mistakes, and become the best person I can be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing all I can to learn more about Jesus Christ. He is the source of all hope, and lasting happiness, so it only makes sense to do all I can to come to Him. When I learn about His life and His teachings, it makes me want to do and be better, which inevitably makes me happier. Seriously, I've gone down that road without God and Jesus Christ, and it's a lot more rough than you'd ever think. Faith brings simplicity to my life, because it gives me direction and hope for better times, each and every day.
