Hi I'm Lauren

I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, I love to find joy through the little things in life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my hobbies include fitness, volleyball, spending time with my friends and family, and reading any good book. I love music, art, and learning about other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. I was born into this church, I attended church with my family for my entire life. It had become a routine for me. It felt natural and good. I didn't have any reason to not go to church, or disagree with its teachings. However, it wasn't until I was about 16 years old that I became truly converted to this gospel. Going through a tough trial brought me closer to the Savior and I was able to see all of the blessings in my life, because of the gospel. I know that The Book of Mormon is True, and that this gospel is the true word of God. I love this church more then anything, and I am so blessed to know with a full heart that this is where God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving in the California Ventura Mission. The way that I live my faith is by always having a constant prayer in my heart, thanking God for all of the blessings that he has given me. I read my scriptures daily and ponder the verses that I read. I like to help others, and share with them the goodness of this gospel, and the love that God has for them. I love attending church on sundays, because it is like a weekly boost that keeps me going all throughout the week.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Lauren
No one is required to serve a mission. They are very optional, personal decisions that one makes with a lot of prayer and consideration. The members that do decide to serve a mission find that it is a blessing in their own life, and they grow closer to the Lord and the Savior through serving his children. It is an 18 month-2 year time period where that individual (usually between the ages of 18-25) has dedicated his/her life to the Lord, and is willing to teach/help whoever he/she comes in contact with.
