Hi I'm Corey

I grew up in Utah, I own my own business. I have traveled most of the United States and some in Europe and Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have traveled some throughout the United States, Europe and Mexico. I love to travel. The various cultures offer wonderful perspectives on life. I have snow skied since I was about 10 years old. I joined to ski patrol when I was 18 years old and did that part time for 10 years. I also played tennis on community men's leagues. I have been on teams that won the state championships and went on to represent my state at regional and national levels. I have been married 38 years this year. I have had six children born to me and my wife. We have lost two sons. One in infancy and the other when he was 27 years old. I have had many jobs and many great experiences during my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a teenager, in the late 1960's I found myself more interested in the excitement of events going on around me. I found less time for church. About 10 years later the excitement had turned to disappointment, frustration, and relationships that ended very painfully. In one of those very depressed moments I found that I needed help. I remembered prayer. I was lead to ask for a priesthood blessing. That blessing provided me with such deep peace that even today I can't describe the great serenity that completely enveloped me. All my anxiety, pain and suffering dissolved. From that peace that I received from Jesus Christ, through His atonement, I made the decision to do all that I could to correct my life. Since then (38 years now) I have had so many spiritual blessings and experiences. I know that my Redeemer lives! I try to follow all the commandments as I know that is when I can feel my Savior's love best. I have studied other religions. I have found that if you really look deeply they all lack something. Those who want to know Jesus Christ should look at the doctrines taught by The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Through the additional revealed truths found here; the information "lacking" may be obtained. Bring all that you have ever believed and test it with the truths taught here and see if it can add to what you believe already. I know that the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only authorized church of Jesus Christ on earth today. It has the ordinances of salvation and exaltation for the living and the dead required to return to the presence of God to live with Him forever. Through the sealing power families can be together forever. Don't you already believe that love never dies you want to be with those you love forever, even if your current religion doesn't teach that as a doctrine, don't you feel it in your heart? How I live my faith

I have served in my church with various church related callings. I have been a councilor in ward bishoprics, the Young Men's President, and Young Men's councilor. I have taught Sunday School at most levels including Primary. I served in the scouting program. I currently serve as the executive secretary for the stake Sunday school presidency. I have been an ordinance worker in the temple for five years and counting.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Part of the Atonement of Jesus Christ was to answer for Adam's transgression wherein all mankind was made subject to death. Because Adam's children didn't partake of the forbidden fruit it wasn't fair that they should be eternally kept from the Father's presence. So the Atonement allows everyone who obtains a physical body to be resurrected with that physical body. Additionally, all men will do something that results in personal transgression or sin that would keep us out of the presence of God after death. Without the Saviors Atonement where "Grace" can intercede no one could be able to return to God. We would all be subject to Satan forever. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons believe that the Bible is the word of God as far as it was translated correctly. Errors can creep in during translation from one language to another as man makes decisions on how to interpret the meaning of those words. The Lord never said he wouldn't speak again. Man said that. Man isn't authorized to command God that he can't speak. Mormons believe that God does continue to speak and always has spoken to his people, wherever they were in the world. Show more Show less
