Hi I'm Bonnie

I am currently preparing to serve in the Chile, Rancagua mission. The gospel brings me so much joy. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a singer/songwriter and a musician - I grew up singing and writing lyrics and poems and so on, and I recently started having some of my music produced. I am a dancer; I only started learning a few different styles of dance in the past year, but I picked it up quickly and social dance has been such a fun form of exercise and socialization for me. I am studying business entrepreneurship in college, and have interest in starting a business at some point. I have a great appreciation for nature and I especially love skies in all their different, glorious forms. I consider myself a student of life, a hopeless romantic, a creator, a lover of beauty and people and worthwhile moments. Not everything about my life has been easy, but in many ways it is charmed - and I want nothing more than to use the gifts I've been given to bless the lives of my fellow brothers and sisters in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, and I will be leaving my current life for 18 months to serve a mission in Chile, Rancagua for this reason: I know the gospel is true. I know this because I have seen the fruits of the gospel, or the results of living it, versus a life without it - and there is no comparison. It is a night and day difference of peace and hope and truth as opposed to darkness and confusion and bitterness. The gospel is simple. It is, and literally means, "good news." The good news is that this life is not the end; we have the opportunity, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, to return to our Heavenly Father's presence and live in an exalted state of immortality and eternal life with our loved ones. We can have ETERNAL HAPPINESS! And not only that, but we can have much greater peace and understanding in this life in addition to the life to come. I have seen miracles in my life and in others' lives that confirm to me God's existence and love for His sons and daughters, and I have felt the Spirit further witness to me of the truth of the gospel and its guarantee for long-term happiness. Life is still hard because it is meant to try us, but by following the Lord's plan we can all experience much greater peace and joy in this life and eternal life in the world to come. This I testify in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ - the Son of God - amen.

How I live my faith

In my church, I help out with the toddlers in the nursery. I teach them how they have bodies that look like Heavenly Father's body, and how we can be exalted beings just like Him someday if we do our best to be like Jesus Christ and repent when we mess up. In my home, I am an example to my family by the way I read my scriptures every day as I have, without fail, for the past six years. I also try to be a good influence in other ways and treat all my family members with kindness no matter where they're at, spiritually and in other ways. In school and other places, I am an example to my peers by the way I live - I smile because the gospel brings me joy, I share things about church or the gospel or my mission when the opportunity arises, and I try to let my light shine in a way that people can recognize it and wonder what makes me the way I am. Because the best way to bring people unto Christ is to live like Him and let people observe the incredible light and joy that pours into one's life when they are doing so.
